Jeff Hangen is a graduate of New England Law | Boston. There, he developed an interest in family law early on as he was exposed to the different issues litigants face in family law matters.
While working as an intern for Veterans Legal Services, Jeff assisted low-income/homeless veterans with a variety of legal needs ranging from divorce, to consumer protection matters, to estate planning. Jeff Hangen also has experience working for the Commonwealth as well. As an intern at the Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General, he assisted the Inspector General with matters that involved public money and assisted with investigations where there was a misuse or abuse of public money. Jeff has experience working with low-income clients in housing related matters. As an intern in the housing unit at Greater Boston Legal Services, Jeff represented clients in housing court as a SJC Rule 3:03 student attorney, successfully preventing several clients from losing their homes. Finally, Jeff has experience in personal injury litigation as well. As an intern at Simon & Simon, PC., he assisted attorneys with legal research and drafting court documents for injured plaintiffs.
Jeff Hangen is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in California, North Carolina, and Japan as an Aviation Ordnance Technician from 2010-2014. There, he built munitions for fighter jets and maintained various weapons systems utilized by several different Marine Corps aircraft. Jeff grew up in California for most of his life and enjoys golfing, hiking, and traveling in his free time.
